The Waterfront neighborhood is a vibrant section of Philadelphia along the Delaware River and anchored by Penn’s Landing. Penn’s Landing serves as the site for several events in the city and is named for William Penn who was supposed to have first docked here in 1682. Comprised of condo buildings, restaurants, event venues and cultural attractions, this a popular residential section of the city due to its walkability to the Center City core and its proximity to I-95 and the Ben Franklin and Walt Whitman Bridges to New Jersey. A number of historic ships are moored at Penn’s Landing. The RiverLink Ferry links Penn’s Landing with the Camden, New Jersey waterfront.
